Yes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but he didn't win anyone over last night by playing it so safe. Remember, the Pilgrims had the Mayflower Compact, which said, all goods would be placed in the common pot where from each receives an equal share and they starved for 2 years. It wasn't until they agreed to allow each to reap the benefits of his/her own labor that they prospered so much, they celebrated the first Thanksgiving. We need that same hootzbah today.
