(We need someone with balls sticking up for our poor, battered Armed Forces.) And the senior Tory ranks could certainly do with a major injection of oestrogen and a few more ministers who grew up in houses without a moat. Still, it made me think how tough it is to be a prime minister, trying to balance colleagues’ feelings with giving voters what they want. Besides, anyone who tells me I’ve got lipstick on my teeth gets my vote. |
