| I came here to study http://xxx-xxxxxx.in.net/ xxx 2002 Looking around the show it’s easy to become immersed in Christenberry’s photographs and sculptures. The resonance of a photograph’s colour and the repetition of places and buildings within each frame have the familiar feel of my own childhood family pictures. The houses, shacks and churches become old friends. The history of the inhabitants of this southern state begins to reveal themselves through the deterioration and transformation of the vernacular buildings. |
