For a rooftop bar with a Secret-Garden-meets-Harry-Potter feel, head to Finsbury Park and the Faltering Fullback. The entrance is deceptively small in size, but do not let this stop you venturing past the array of memorabilia which lines the walls. Up a series of stairs and multi-level terraces there are tables tucked into little nooks and crannies, making each drinking space quiet and isolated, surrounded mostly by shrubs and trees. If the heat gets too much then there is always the pool table to loiter around. Unfortunately food is only served in the evenings, but until then there is a good array of draught and bottled beers to keep you going. |
