One parent was eating something held firmly under a foot, while the youngster ranted ''cark! cark! cark!’’. The third crow perched facing its mate, calm and silent. Through the binoculars I could see that what the feeding crow was so enjoying was a large golden potato chip, scavenged from one of the snack wagons in the neighbouring lay-bys. |
